In order to access your Finspreads trading account via your iPhone or iPod touch, you need to have OS 3.0 (or any later version) installed on your gadget. You could also use 3G, Wi-Fi and Edge data connections. Where possible, we recommend using a Wi-Fi connection for optimum performance.

The Finspreads iPhone trading App, enables you to access global financial markets at your fingertips. With Finspreads App, you can speculate on fast moving financial markets wherever you are and at any time. You can also place tax-free Spread Bets on a range of markets including UK and global equities, indices, currencies, commodities and more.

The Finspreads App™ enables you to execute Spread Betting trades confidently and securely no matter where you are. You can search for live market prices, view specific market information, open and close Spread Betting positions, manage margins, save opening and closing orders etc. Our efficient iPhone App also enables you to view your Finspreads trading account details, including running profit and loss, watch lists and historical account and order information from wherever you are.
You can download the Finspreads iPhone App for free. Simply go to the App Store℠ and search for “Finspreads™”.
If you already hold a Finspreads trading account, downloading and accessing your account via the Finspreads™ iPhone App is very simple. See our step-by-step guide below:

1. Navigate to the App Store and search for ‘Finspreads™'. Alternatively, Finspreads™ can also be found within the Top Free apps in the Finance category.

2. Click on the Finspreads™ iPhone App, displayed within the search results.

3. Click ‘Free’ to initiate the download process, and then hit ‘Install'.

4. Enter your Apple ID and password to validate the install.

5. Once installed, click the Finspreads™ iPhone App launch icon on your iPhone Home screen. This will open the Finspreads™ iPhone App.

6. Enter your login details in the Login screen, and press ‘Login'.

You will need a Finspreads account to use the Finspreads iPhone App.

You can check what version of operating system (OS) your handset is using by following the steps below:

1. Click on the ‘Settings’ icon on the iPhone home screen.

2. Click the ‘General’ menu option.

3. Click the ‘About’ menu option.

The first digit of the three-digit ‘Version’ number (x.x.x) depicts the version you are using. If this version begins with a 3 – i.e. 3.0.1 – then you have version OS 3.0, which means you can use the Finspreads iPhone App straight away. If you have a previous version of OS– i.e. 2.0.1 – then you need to upgrade your handset via the App Store℠.

1. Connect your iPhone/iPod touch® to your PC/Mac and open iTunes.

2. Select your device (located on the left-hand side of the screen). This will take you to the summary view.

3. Look for the version section and click ‘check for update’. If your device does not have OS version 3.0 or the above installed, iTunes will let you know that there is a new version available and will ask whether you wish to upgrade.

Within the main Settings menu of the iPhone, you can find individual settings for select applications. Within the Finspreads™ iPhone App option, you’re able to customise certain additional options such as Auto Resume Login, Inactivity Timeout and more.
It is easy to check whether you have the latest version of the Finspreads™ iPhone App on your phone. All you have to do is navigate to the ‘Updates’ option within the App Store, select Finspreads™ and check the version. Please note that the App Store may prompt you for your Apple ID and password at this stage. We will notify you when a new update has been introduced.
We’re working on a feature that will enable you to fund your Finspreads account through your iPhone. In the meantime, you can fund your account by logging on to the Finspreads trading platform and following the instructions listed under the ‘Account’ tab.
At the moment, it is not possible to manage your account details through the Finspreads™ iPhone App. You can change your password, update your email address as well as fund your account and view statements by logging in to the Finspreads trading platform and accessing the ‘Account’ tab.
You don't need to be logged in to your trading platform when using the iPhone App. You can access and trade using your account with Finspreads™ at any time within market hours
You will need an active Finspreads trading account in order to log in and execute trades via your Finspreads iPhone App. You can access your account by entering your Finspreads web login details on your Finspreads iPhone App. If you don’t have an account, you can open one now at www.finspreads.com
If you are experiencing any kind of problems with your iPhone App, please email us on iphone@finspreads.com and we’ll respond to your query as soon as we can.
If your connection is lost while entering the details of a new order or trade, you will simply get logged out from the iPhone App. The trade/order will not be processed, and no changes will be made to your account. You can then log back in once you have a suitable connection.

If your connection is lost while a trade or order is being processed, the action will be received by Finspreads and the trade or order will successfully be processed. This is dependent on the details being received before connection is lost. In any case, you will be able to log back in to check your open positions and active orders.
This message will appear if your handset does not have a strong connection. In this case, try to find an area with an improved data connection, or connect to a local Wi-Fi network.
The ‘Three-Second Rule’ is a security measure put in place to ensure that clients only trade on the latest live market price – if a market price is three seconds old or more, the trade may not be processed. If you find that this error message appears more than once, this may be due to a weak connection, either through Wi-Fi or data connection. We recommend using a Wi-Fi connection where possible, to ensure you receive the very latest live market prices.
