Chapter 10-and-a-half - Diary of a trader

YES, I am still alive. And NO, I have not lost the remainder of the Nicoll life savings.

I have been quietly reading a few trading books, following the Dow's progress through the doldrums, and making the odd winning trade along with a few losers.

And feeling proud that I no longer lose more than £30 or so on the losers, thanks to my new understanding of stop losses, and actually using them, instead of staring transfixed at the screen when a trade's going the wrong way.

Now I am off to the Land of the Deep Fried Mars Bar on business, where I'll remain for the next couple of weeks.

So no more trades until then. (Naturally the Dow plunged 135 after I'd been stopped out on my final short trade!)

I'll be back some time in October.

Until then be lucky! (And remember the stop loss.)
