We pioneered browser-based spread betting in the UK in 1999 by being the first provider in the industry to offer real time spread betting access via your browser. Since then, we have grown to become one of the biggest online spread betting firms in the UK.

In 2006, Finspreads was acquired by City Index Ltd, one of the largest global providers of retail trading services including financial spread betting, CFDs and margined forex.

Launch of the Trading Academy – an eight-week modular guide to trading the markets for new spread bettors

2006

Finspreads, part of IFX Markets, is acquired by City Index Limited

2011

Finspreads introduces a live iPhone spread betting app (upgraded in 2012)

2012

Finspreads undergoes a major rebrand and launches Beginners, Standard and Limited Risk accounts
